Things can hurt and be funny. Context is key. At least I'm not calling people homophobic slurs in a non-joking format like you. Homosexuals are murdered, tortured, or otherwise persecuted every day for something they cannot control. Doesn't that make you hurt? You bad person. Very bm 

Story time:
My grandpa died before I was born. About a year before that he had a stroke and lost all of his bodily autonomy. My grandma used to have to take him to the bathroom. Sometimes he couldn't communicate clearly enough to get there on time and he would shit himself. Whenever that would happen, he would yell for my grandma saying something along the lines of "Honey come in here and wipe my ass, I shit myself again" while laughing.

My grandma grew annoyed by this and asked him "Why do you feel the need to tease me in this situation? Isn't it bad enough as it is?" He replied, "Well dear, either I'm going to laugh about it or I'm going to cry about it. Which one would you have me do?".

Some people learn this life lesson sooner than others. You're welcome for the education. Now live more richly and take things and yourself less seriously. You're wildly impermanent and insignificant, like everyone else.
